Parents As Teachers

What is the Parent Education Project?

A free, voluntary in-home parent education program for families from prenatal to children up to age five
Utilizes Parents As Teachers curriculum, "Born to Learn"
Offers support, guidance, and community resources through personal visits, monthly group meetings, develomental screenings, and referrals
Teaches age appropriate activities
Reinforces early literacy and school readiness

Trained, certified parent educators
Educational handouts
Community resources, trainings, support
Child development guidance
Monthly parent groups
Developmental screenings
Vision and hearing checks
