Crisis Child Care

What is Crisis Child Care?

Crisis Child Care provides free, short-term child care to infants through 12 year old children whose families are experiencing a crisis or emergency and lack adequate child care.

Use Crisis child Care:

After all other resources have been exhausted, Crisis Child Care can be accessed if deemed appropriate.

Who will care for my child?

Registered day care homes or licensed child care centers provide a safe and nurturing environment while parents address the crisis situation. Child care providers are trained in CPR, first aid and caring for children during a crisis situation.

Staff will also assist families through the crisis by providing support, referrals and community resources to families.

How are children placed in Crisis Child Care?

Children can be placed in Crisis Child Care by:

A time and place will be arranged for staff and families to meet and gather basic family and medical information, care instructions, and sign releases.

CRISIS CHILD CARE recognizes that all situations are unique and therefore makes assessments on a case-by-case basis. CRISIS CHILD CARE IN NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR DAY CARE NEEDS.
