T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® IOWA (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) assists providers to work toward degrees in early childhood education while working in the field. The program is designed to provide a higher level of education, by earning college credit hours; increased compensation, by recipients earning a raise or bonus after successful completion of a year contract; and increased recognition as a professional in the early childhood field.
Teachers in centers and preschools, Directors, and Home Providers are likely eligible if they are fully employed in a regulated program. We do not require you to have family financial eligibility. T.E.A.C.H. offers counseling and financial support for college courses, books, travel, and time away from work.
Both the centers and providers gain in this wonderful program. A higher level of education provides a crucial part of any quality rating standard and higher level of recognition as a professional. Through the commitment component of the T.E.A.C.H. program, turnover rates are drastically reduced. It is truly a win~win situation!
