Center for Childcare Resources

Center for Childcare Resources is Boone Counties local Iowa Child Care Resources and Referral agency. We are a community-based organization that lends a helping hand to people who care for and about children. This program is led by a local Provider Services Coordinator. The purpose of the Provider Services Coordinator is to provide assistance and support to home providers, and child care centers so that they can provide the highest quality childcare possible. By providing resources, education and advocacy, CCR helps meet your community’s need for affordable and accessible child care.

As a childcare care provider, if you choose to work with the Provider Services Coordinator you will receive:

Monthly childcare provider meetings. A time to share information, and ideas as well as to receive training information.
DHS offers training credits for some of the monthly provider meetings.
Boone County Empowerment offers incentives for various provider meetings and work with the coordinator. These incentives enrich the quality of the child care setting.
Mini-grants. Boone County Empowerment offers mini-grants once a year to childcare providers. This gives providers a chance to apply for toys and other items that would enrich the quality of their environment.

CCR provides a wide variety of services for:

Parents (including parent referrals)
Child Care Providers (trainings and technical assistance)
Employers
Community Groups
